The room was excellent sized and wonderfully decorated and complete with the bedroom, nice sash windows plus the communal garden opposite, I had everything needed. The marvellous location near a subway station was just what I needed.

Enjoyed my stay in a super clean and affordable room on the upper floors. The room was equipped with cool stuff like USB ports, storage, and even a kettle 🍵. The location was also super central, though it seems they're doing some upgrades right now.

With quick check-in and late check-out at 4 am, this hotel was modest. Silent and huge room with access to the garden was enjoyable.

The hotel is located 2 steps away from Portobello road, and 5m on foot from Notting Hill Gate station, therefore its communication is excellent. . The hotel is a Victorian building with high ceilings and period wallpaper. It looks (and smells :) old and a bit run down, but on entering the room we saw a very spacious space with decent beds for everyone and a large bathroom with a bath . The breakfast was correct. Bread, some cereals and juices, and some sausage and pastries. Enough and correct.
staff was correct, although a little dry. We asked for some directions on parking, there was no way to get clear instructions on how to park in the area. room, despite being large, had some important spider webs and some clear damage to the walls. coat of paint could give a much better appearance. An important detail. During the whole night, you can hear the passage of the subway very clearly. It didn't bother us, at some moments during the night, there were silent intervals between the subway and train that made it very noticeable.

Overall I liked everything. Location, check in was very quick, treatment of the people at the reception, cleaning, dining room, etc. room and bathroom were huge and hotel in general is very, quiet and is in a very central and good area of London, 5 minutes walk from Notting Hil Gate which is on the Circle line that connects you to all the main attractions. To be honest, I have no complaints about the hotel. value for money is very good. Although the breakfast was basically the same every day: bread, cheese, ham, milk, cereals, orange juice, coffee or tea; it was a great help to save that expense in a city as expensive as London. I didn't put in the maximum because I think they should at least vary a little. Add yogurt or change orange juice for apples and change canned peaches for some fresh fruit (banana or apple)
